14 Adventurous Date Ideas

14 Adventurous Date Ideas

Forget dinner and a movie, impress your date this Valentines Day with these 14 adventurous date ideas…

Indoor Climbing

You’re never far from an indoor climbing centre and what better way to impress your date; muscles or no muscles, this unique date idea is enough to get them talking.

Build trust, show support, feel achievement and boost self-confidence. Wow! Accomplish so much from this date and who knows, maybe you’ll both have found a new hobby to enjoy together.

Watch the Sun Set

Ditch Netflix and chill, get off the couch and catch that sunset.

So simple yet so romantic.

Have Snow Much Fun

You don’t need to be in the Alps to enjoy the slopes; The UK has up to 69 indoor snow centres so you’re bound to find one near to you.

If you’re both beginners, organise a lesson for you both, or, have a snowball fight – it’s less messy than a food fight!

Go on a Hike

Breathe in that fresh air, take on a challenge and connect with great conversation on a hiking date. We all know that adventure and exercise generate endorphins so you’ll both leave feeling excited and exhilarated. And don’t forget the scenic views for a romantic setting.

Get Muddy on a Quad Bike

Get that adrenaline pumping and get competitive with your date as you whizz past them (and maybe splash them with mud!). Whatever the weather, Quad-biking is always a good idea.

Take a Hot Air Balloon Ride

The perfect mix of romance and thrill, a hot air balloon ride is a once in a lifetime adventure. Don’t forget your camera to capture those breathtaking views.

Go Vintage on a Tandem Bike Ride

Be in sync with your date and hire a tandem bike. Pedalling together will encourage cooperation and lots of laughs!

Go Star Gazing or Aurora Hunting

Head to the countryside where there is little light pollution for that perfect, clear view of the stars. Remember a blanket and a flask of hot chocolate to keep warm. If it’s too cold, you can always stargaze from  the warmth of your car.

Hire a Boat

Hiring a boat is a bit of a date cliche, however not often is it done on a winter’s day.

Top tip – try to avoid replicating the boat scene of Daniel Cleaver from Bridget Jones’s Diary, the water will be icy cold!

Go on a Road Trip

A road trip is the perfect opportunity to enjoy each others company. Be spontaneous, take the scenic route and remember, it’s all about the journey, not the destination.

Go Ape

What better was to build trust with your date than to dangle from the treetops, leap off Tarzan swings and glide down zip wires. You’ll both face your fears together whilst enjoying a laugh or two at each other’s expense.

With 31 Go Ape sites scattered across the UK you’re never too far from a treetop adventure.

Go Ice Skating

Take a trip back to your youth and take your date on an ice skating date. This is a sure way to guarantee a ton of laughs as you both slip and slide your way through your Valentines date.

Climb a Mountain

Challenge and achievement will bond you like nothing else can. Climb that mountain! Get your heart racing; after all, we all like a date that gets our heart pumping!

Cosy Up in a Cabin

There’s nothing more romantic than cozying up next to a log burning fire in the middle of the woods. Forest walks are never too far away, giving you the perfect mix of relaxation, romance and adventure.
